Christina and her older sister, Katharine Constas ’15, began taking orders on Tuesday for T-shirts emblazoned using the phrase, “Ithaca Women Are Nasty, ” and printed inside a style much like the locally-ubiquitous “Ithaca is gorges” bumper stickers and apparel inspired by Howard Cogan ‘50. 

Any payment during the five dollars it costs to print each shirt will certainly be donated to Planned Parenthood, the sisters said.

“Christina and I‘ve had lots of fun accomplishing this together as sisters, ” said Katharine, noting that the method would be a family affair. Their mother helped with the planning and that they all kept their older sister, who lives in New York City, updated upon the progress. 

Neither from the sisters could pinpoint a precise moment when their joking about the thought became a significant plan for any T-shirt and fundraiser. 

“When sisters are together, things just type of happen, ” Christina said.
